FOREST CITY – Waldorf’s dynamic quarterback Hilton Joseph made history on the field for the Warriors this past fall throwing the ball, setting a variety of school records.
And on Thursday, Joseph added to his historic season as he became Waldorf’s first NAIA All-American in football.
The 5-foot-10 junior from Miami, Fla., was named to the 2018 NAIA All-American Team as an honorable mention All-American, the first All-American honor for the Warrior football program since moving to the four-year level.
During this past season, Joseph set single-season school records for completions (170), passing attempts (291), total passing yards (2,392), and passing touchdowns (27) for the Warriors.
His performance on the field led the Warriors to a 5-5 overall record and second place in the North Star Athletic Association (5-2 NSAA).
He also was named the Dacotah Bank/NSAA Football Offensive MVP for his play, and was named the NSAA First-Team quarterback.
