MOUNT PLEASANT – Iowa Wesleyan University’s men’s soccer program will kick off the third season under head coach, Tony Odorisio. The team will look to build off last season’s third place regular season finish with hopes of making the SLIAC conference tournament now that the University has reached active membership in NCAA Division III.
The Tigers will open the season with a three game stretch on the road, beginning on Sept. 1 against Central College at 5 pm. They will head to Mount Mercy University on Sept. 3 at 3 pm and finish with Hannibal La-Grange University on Sept. 5 at 5 pm.
Iowa Wesleyan’s home opener will be on Sept. 9, where they will host Coe College in a 1 pm contest.
Another stretch on the road will begin with a Sept. 11 contest against Simpson College at 7 pm. The Tigers will then play Grinnell (Sep 14 at 4:30pm), William Penn University (Sept. 16 at 3 pm), and Cornell College (September 19 at 4:30 pm) before returning to East Lake Park on September 22nd for a 1pm match against Olivet College.
IW will take on Monmouth College (Sept. 24 at 4pm) and Loras College (Sept. 26 at 7pm) to finish up their non-conference schedule.
The Tigers will open up SLIAC play against Greenville University on Sept. 29 at 3 pm in Greenville, Illinois. They will host Eureka College (Oct. 3 at 3 pm) and MacMurray College (Oct. 6 at 3 pm) before hitting the road once again to take on Westminster College on (Oct. 9 at 3 pm).
Principia College (Oct. 13) and Blackburn College (Oct. 17) will visit the Tigers for back to back home games, with each contest set to start at 3 pm.
Iowa Wesleyan will make the long trip to Louisville, Kentucky to take on the Golden Eagles of Spalding University for a 3 pm EST match on October 20. They will return to Mount Pleasant, Iowa on October 23rd for their final home game of the season when the Tigers host Webster University at 3 pm at East Lake Park.
The Tigers will wrap up their season with an away game at Fontbonne University on October 27 at 3pm.
