KANSAS CITY – Reigning MIAA Men’s Soccer Champion, Fort Hays State was tabbed first in the 2018 MIAA Men’s Soccer Preseason Coaches poll. The Tigers received three-first place votes and 15 points in the poll.

Northeastern State was narrowly edged out by two points to finish second in the preseason poll and received one first-place vote. Last season, the RiverHawks reached the NCAA Quarterfinals after winning the NCAA Central Regional title.

Two points separated NSU from Lindenwood as LWU finished third. The Lions earned a first-place vote and 13 points. Upper Iowa was slated fourth and Southwest Baptist rounded out the preseason poll.

MIAA Men’s Soccer matches begin with two games on Thursday, August 30 and three matches on Friday, August 31. Conference matches start on Friday, September 21 with the final day of play scheduled for Sunday, November 4. For the complete MIAA Men’s Soccer schedule, click here.
