SIOUX CENTER – Jaelyn Dragt, a student at Abbotsford Christian School (British Columbia), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender track and field program.
Dragt has personal bests of 10.73 meters in the triple jump, 4.9 meters in the long jump and 12.88 in the 80 meter hurdles. She was the BC Summer Games 2016 Gold Medal winner in the triple jump and she was named the BCCSSAA Track and Field Junior Girls Aggregate Award winner. Dragt helped her track and field team to the 2018 and 2019 BC High School Track and Field Provincial Championships.
“I decided to commit to Dordt University because it offers a Christ-centered education where I can pursue both a major in Social Work and continue to pursue athletics. I look forward to being a part of a community where I am encouraged and challenged to deepen my faith and apply it to the profession of Social Work and other areas of my life,” said Dragt.
Jaelyn is the daughter of Carl and Brenda Dragt of Abbostford, British Columbia. She plans to study Social Work at Dordt.
