FOREST CITY – The Warrior football program is pleased to announce its updated schedule for the 2020 season which will feature nine games with the home opener on Saturday, Sept. 26.
The new Warrior football schedule features all North Star Athletic Association contests with Waldorf playing each league foe, except Dickinson State, twice.
The Warriors will host four home games and play five contests on the road.
The NAIA last week set guidelines for the return to competition for all fall sports, pushing back the start date for all football teams to Saturday, Sept. 12, and reducing the total number of games to nine for each team, prompting the Warriors and NSAA to modify their 2020 football schedules.
Waldorf’s new season-opener will be Sept. 12 when the Warriors play at Mayville State, with the Warriors back on the road the next weekend playing at Valley City State on Sept. 19.
The Warriors make their home debut on Saturday, Sept. 26, when they host Presentation.
Waldorf then is back on the road playing at Dakota State on Oct. 3 before returning home for back-to-back weekends as the Warriors host Mayville State on Oct. 10, then host Valley City State on Oct. 17 for Homecoming.
The Warriors then hit the road for their final two away games, playing at Dickinson State on Oct. 24 and at Presentation on Oct. 31.
The regular-season finale will be Nov. 7 with Waldorf hosting Dakota State, then the NAIA playoffs begin on Nov. 21.
